Beirut Cooking Festival 2012

The Beirut Cooking Festival is an initiative made by the people of Hospitality. They also organize Horeca every year. The fair is open to the public, non-professional alike. I will take part this year for a demonstration to introduce the "Community Kitchen Workshop" I will be hosting to teach children about food on a weekly basis. I invite you to come with your children to visit me at the stand. I will be baking bread because I believe that children learn a lot about cooking, baking, and life by making good bread.

Some amazing talents will be demonstrating their passion for cooking too!

Makes Sense

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

Cook and Eat Lebanese Website

I'd like to introduce you, my readers, to this cool website. I really appreciate the initiative and recognize the work that goes into building such a data base. Cook and Eat Lebanese, as simple as that! It's easy and anyone can join. Most recipes are simple and reliable. Most are traditional, yet some are not. There's room for anyone to post. I refer to it from time to time and wondered if all you knew about it. So there, now it's publisheddon't say I didn't share. No excuses not to cook Lebanese folks!

Man'oushe in Seattle

Today Chef Garrett sent me a photo of man'oushe cooking in a wood fire oven. He has been practicing a lot before the grand opening of Mamnoon. How exciting!

Heaven!
